Play with color #3

W koncu czas na nowa eksploracje koloru. Jestem wielka fanka kolorow neutralnych, jak sama nazwa blogu wskazuje, mimo to strasznie mi sie podoba dzisiejszy zestaw kolorow. Jego historia jest dosyc dluga.

Finally it’s time to share the new color exploration. I am a big fan of neutrals as the blog name says, but I really love today’s color combination. And it’s story is pretty long.

Mozaika#3

To byl pierwszy obraz, ktory oboje (ja i moj maz) polubilismy. Ten obraz wisial w recepcji naszego hoteliku, ktorego wlasciciela udalo nam sie przekonac do sprzedazy. Namalowala go Landriscina.

The inspiration for this color mosaic is the painting you can see in the middle. The painting is hanging in my living room since summer, when we bought it during our holiday in Italy. It was the first painting ever we both (me and my husband) liked. And we discussed buying a painting almost forever (at least since we bought a house in February 2012). This painting was hanging in the reception of our hotel and we managed to convince it’s owner to sell it. The painter is called Landriscina.

I love the colors used in this painting, but it’s also important that it shows a place that we visited and love. Italy was our holiday destination not for the first time. We go back there pretty often and are amazed each single time.

Jesli usuniemy z podlogi wszystkie zabawki, nie pozostanie zbyt wiele koloru w naszym salonie. Uwielbiamy polaczenie bieli z surowym drewnem, wiec obraz jest niemalze jedynym kolorowym elementem. W zwiazku z czym mam ta palace potrzebe dodania wiecej koloru i uszycia nowego quiltu. Z mnostwem swiezej zieleni i indygo. Plan jest gotowy, wzor nazywa sie Jelly on Point autorstwa Susanne Klemm z stoffbreite.de.

If we remove all the toys from the floor, there is not that much color in our living room. We love combination of white and raw tree and the painting is almost the only pop up of the color. I think that there is an urgent need to add more color. Therefore I decided to make a new quilt. With a lot of fresh green and indigo. The plan is ready, using the pattern called Jelly on Point designed by Susanne Klemm from stoffbreite.de. I might adjust the placement of blocks once they are ready.

Podoba mi sie ten wzor. Jest to rodzaj bloku ‘log cabin’, ktory powinien byc raczej latwy do zszycia.

I really like this pattern. It’s a variation of  log cabin block, which shall be rather easy to assemble. In total 39 blocks are needed. But before piecing I need to do some shopping in order to get all the prints featured on the picture above.

  1. Beautiful color palette, and I so totally would have tried to talk your friend out of this one too! I especially love the inspiration collage and the flower pod with the blue berries peeking out. Looking forward to the progress of this one!

P.S. I tried to respond to your last e-mail, but it came back. You might want to check and see if your blog is set to the no-reply setting.
